About Jetstar Asia Airways
Jetstar Asia Airways’ first flight took off on 13th December, 2004 for Hong Kong. More than 80% of Jetstar Asia’s shares is jointly owned by Qantas and Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited. Jetstar Airways is the sister concern of Jetstar Asia Airways, which is based out of Melbourne and is wholly owned by Qantas Airlines. On 25th July 2005, Jetstar Asia Airways merged with Valuair. Both these airlines are based out of Singapore and operate flights services to most cities in South-east Asia including Manila.

Jetstar Asia Airways has been awarded many times for its outstanding services. It received the Best Low-cost Airline award for Asia as well as South-east Asia categories. This award was given after the survey was conducted for the 2006 prestigious Skytrax Airline of the Year. In 2007, Jetstar Asia Airways ranked first by SkyTrax as the World’s Best Low-Cost Airlines.
